As the Vice President, Director of Financial Planning, you will be responsible for the overall management and direction of the financial planning practice within our Wealth Division. You will be creating cohesive planning standards, following the CFP Board standards, that can be used effectively throughout the wealth division for the benefit of clients and prospects. You will work closely with clients and various members of our Wealth Division to create and deliver financial plans that are of the utmost quality, consistent, timely, and utilizes best practices.
Build, develop, and maintain the Financial Planning process for all division for Girard
Act as a resource for training and education for both advisors and their clients on financial planning topics and techniques
Develop and implement a consistent financial planning experience that can be utilized by our advisors when working with clients and prospects.
Collaborate with Senior Leadership to learn the various businesses under Univest and know how they interact with one another.
Ensure that all financial data is accurately captured, and output is reviewed, updated, and presented correctly.
Educate advisors, other lines of businesses, COI’s, clients, prospects, on the benefits of financial planning.
Keep informed of the latest technology and updates to ensure that Girard is utilizing the best solution for our firm.
As the subject matter expert, you will be expected to participate in joint meetings with wealth advisors to introduce and deliver financial planning.
Be able to meticulously track and report the progress being made within the Financial Planning process using Salesforce and financial planning software packages.
Perform additional duties as required.
Responsible for compliance with laws and regulations (both internal and external) that apply to the position, including the Univest Code of Conduct.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
CFP® certification; CFA, JD, or CPA also desirable
Series 65 licensed preferable
10+ years of experience in a financial planning capacity with direct client interaction. Sales experience desirable.
Highly technical with a desire to continually build knowledge and skills within the financial planning and investment management discipline.
Client service-oriented and capable of cultivating relationships and building trust with fellow team members and clients.
Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
Strong presentation skills and in-depth knowledge of MoneyGuidePro and eMoney
Ability to create and implement presentations on various wealth planning topics and best practices
Strong working knowledge of Office 365 environment, Teams and Salesforce
Knowledgeable of communication technologies such as Webex and Teams that can virtually deliver financial plans.
Work collaboratively with others in a team environment
Ability to identify and resolve problems promptly.
Ability to fundamentally analyze a diverse array of investments
Ability and willingness to occasionally be available after regular business hours to meet with prospects, clients and attain corporate objectives
Excellent organizational skills and can remain focused while working well under pressure
Strong understanding of the RIA and Broker/Dealer business model.
