  • Overview

    The position will contribute to the overall success of Univest’s PR and Social Media efforts including event execution in support of the various lines of business (banking, insurance, wealth management, home loans, etc.)

    Responsibilities

    Social Media:

    • Daily posting to Twitter. Several posts throughout week to Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
      • Share community involvement, news, content from Univest blog.
      • Create images/videos for use on social pages
    • Monitoring of all social channels and response to incoming comments as needed.
    • Coordinate with authors for monthly articles for the blog.
    • Review, edit and facilitate getting compliance and LOB approvals for articles to post on Univest blog.
    • Post on blog through WordPress. Share on social pages.
    • Coordinate with agency partner to determine audience target for boosted posts on social.
    • Create monthly email to employees to encourage posting of Univest content on LinkedIn
    • Compile monthly reports and quarterly summary measuring Univest impact on its social media channels.
    • Complement digital marketing campaigns with social content.

     

    Event Planning:

    • Create plans and timeline for event planning within budget parameters.
    • Research venues, pricing and availability.
    • Make arrangements with venue, coordinate with caterer.
    • Work with various internal teams to create invite lists and facilitate event process: invite creation, eblast, RSVP updates, sharing details with teams, etc.
    • Support day-of event registration, set-up and break down.

     

    PR and Communications Support

    • Assist as needed in writing various communications that will keep key messages and important news in front of Univest’s employees, customers, shareholders and communities. Additional writing duties as needed such as bios, customer letters, etc.
    • Coordinate posting of news releases and secured media coverage to univest.net and the Univest blog.
    • Share Univest content for possible inclusion on partner websites and newsletters: chambers, sponsorships, etc.
    • Maintain media database and continue to expand it as Univest grows its geographic footprint and business capabilities.

     

    General

    • Responsible for compliance with laws and regulations that apply to the position, including the Univest Code of Conduct.
    • Perform additional duties as required.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, PR, Marketing or related field.
    • 5 or more years of digital communications, social media experience, within the financial field, a plus.
    • Relationships with media throughout the Greater Philadelphia Region would be a plus.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience in writing news releases, articles, letters and other communications targeting employees, customers, senior managers and the public.
    • Proficient in design programs such as Photoshop and Illustrator.
    • Experience in increasing brand and awareness and engagement through social media outlets.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism to work with employees at all levels, while also building relationships to maintain Univest’s positive image with chambers of commerce, nonprofit organizations and other key leaders in the communities we serve.
    • Exceptional organization skills with ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced working environment.
