  • Overview

    Lead the Business Optimization and Analytics (BOA) Team guiding technical development, implementing sound methodologies, and deploying best practices to improve insights and decision making as it pertains to customer acquisition and retention, revenue generation, fraud detection, and other business KPI’s.  BOA will partner with Univest business lines to engineer opportunities to measure, analyze, and recommend continuous process improvements.


    • Lead a diverse, fast paced team to build, maintain and scale the data pipeline and infrastructure of a world class SaaS platform
    • Owner of the reporting and data analysis enterprise, including the business analysis for Salesforce.com and nCino
    • Continuously improve team capabilities and tools, providing professional guidance and developing technical expertise
    • Create technical strategy, data design, and roadmap for the product.
    • Own, present and explain findings to various stakeholders across the company
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand, document, and prioritize key technical decisions, processes and business needs for data
    • Liaise with Senior Management, Commercial Banking, Credit Administration,  Marketing, Compliance, etc. to understand, translate, simplify and prioritize business and data requirements to improve systems, business and operational processes
    • Proactively identify new ways to use data or ways to augment data to improve effectiveness and efficiency
    • Actively participate in system design, coding and testing
    • Deliver all releases on time with high quality
    • Remain current on industry advances in Big Data and Machine Learning tools. 
    • Advance technical knowledge by reviewing Salesforce publications & web trainings
    • Provide support in the development of an Operations Change Management process
    • Other duties as assigned


    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related technical field
    • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience (financial services experience preferred).
    • Superior knowledge of data warehousing, mining, reporting, statistics, and analytics, with expertise in defining metrics and dashboards for managers and executives
    • Experience and willingness to establish and evolve a multifaceted data analytics team.
    • Experience in using “big data” systems such as Hadoop, Tableau, etc.
    • Previous Salesforce and nCino experience desired
    • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to provide thoughtful, merit based strategic insights in a clear and concise manner to other members of the Senior Management team
    • Ability to interact and communicate with all levels of an organization and drive influence without direct authority
    • Creativity, adaptability, tenacity, a sense of urgency and a hands-on orientation
    • Self-driven, independent thinker with a strong work ethic, high energy, and collaborative team orientation.
    • Strong project management and organizational skills, combining a flexible, strategic approach with attention to detail
    • Proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Office Suite, Visio and PowerPoint
