Initial Responsibilities: • Develop a strong understanding of the firm’s investment selection criteria and process and attain in-depth knowledge of the investments used. • Develop product knowledge by working one-on-one with internal and external partners. • Perform trades under the direction of the wealth management team. Perform and make rebalancing recommendations for a specific segment of client portfolios and provide those recommendations to the Wealth Advisor. This includes documenting results and noting approved exceptions in the portfolio accounting and CRM system. Other investment related and sales support activities as assigned by the wealth management team. As the Associate gains knowledge and experience, responsibilities will expand to include: • Become a pivotal member of the relationship team, responsible for the regularly scheduled relationship reviews of client portfolios, making recommendations to the Wealth Advisors, execution of recommendations and managing liquidity needs. The Wealth Advisor Associate will be as familiar with the client relationship as the Wealth Advisor and serve as the secondary point of contact for the client. • Build a trusted, competent, and confident relationship with clients by having the capability and authority to provide comprehensive, tailored financial solutions. • Seek additional assets from clients. • Identify needs and cross sell other Univest services and products • Assist with sales and marketing efforts of Wealth Advisors and provide internal support. • Responsible for compliance with laws and regulations that apply to this position including Univest Code of Conduct • Other duties as assigned
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience • Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of finance, economics, and global capital markets, along with a record of academic excellence and professional drive. Strong aptitude for financial analysis. • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work cooperatively with all individuals within Univest to achieve common goals. • Proficiency for learning/using investment mgmt. industry software • Self-starter with the ability to set priorities/manage responsibilities • Obtain required securities licenses within one year timeframe • Desire to cross sell services and willingness to seek out additional assets from clients.
